Attached is a lightly-edited version of my quarterly report to the Society Youth Combat Marshal.
— Mathghamhain, East Kingdom Youth Earl Marshal
As always, cold weather means that winter has been a quiet time for youth combat in the East, with only one full-scale event, Birka. Nonetheless, a couple of local branches with access to indoor sites have kept practices going, and a good number of our current crop of marshals-in-training have remained engaged.
After nearly four years in office, I am looking forward to stepping down in the coming months, and am working with our deputies to ensure the program remains in good hands.
Editing work has begun on the next edition of the East’s youth combat rulebook, although we’ll hold off on finalizing it until that we have a chance to include any necessary updates required by the next edition of the Society manual.
I’d like to thank the marshals who are working to build up our program in some of the further-flung corners of our kingdom, who are currently training new MiTs and building awareness of youth combat in areas that have otherwise been quiet in recent years.
