Marshal's Practice Checklist
Bring to Practice:
- Waiver Forms
- Forms for Medical Authorization
- Sign in sheet
- Hard Copy of Armor Standards and YC Rules
- Water if it's not easily accessed by young fighters
- Weapon and Gear Fixing Essentials (see below)
- Loaner gear if you have it
- Marshal stick
Weapon and Gear Fixing Essentials:
- Duct tape
- Strapping tape
- Scissors or knife
- Pipe foam
- Flat head screwdriver
- Phillips head screwdriver
- Pliers or adjustable wrench
- Misc. shoelaces and thongs
- Scraps for adding aventails
Essential Loaner Gear (the things no one has)
- Spare swords (golf tube and pvc)
- Spare shields (strapped for both right and left hand use)
- Gloves
- Gorgets
- Kidney belts
- Scraps for making aventails
Complete Loaner Gear:
- Several Hockey Helmets
- Several sets of body pads
- Swords (golf tube and pvc, various sizes)
- Shields (various sizes, strapped for both right and left hand use)
- Gloves of various sizes
- Gorgets of various sizes
- Kidney belts of various sizes
- Knee and elbow pads of various sizes
- Vambraces (small baseball. Soccer and hockey shinguards work great)
- Scraps for making aventails
Fun Stuff to Have on Hand:
- Different kinds of shields (heater, kite, single-hand round)
- Great swords
- Polearms/glaves
- Swords of various lengths
- Daggers
